Elena and Vishal wanted a classic New York wedding, which is why they chose the Loeb boathouse in Central Park, NYC. Massimo beautifully captured the bride’s “getting ready” photos at her parents house in Long Island. I met the wedding party at the Loews Hotel in the city, where we did some additional “getting ready” pictures with Elena’s close friends and family. We then traveled to the Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, where the couple had their first look and we continued on with some bridal party and family images. We captured some special shots of the couple inside the Bethesda Terrace and on the courtyard. The lighting was perfect and spirits were high, which resulted in some gorgeous wedding photography. The ceremony was held in The Boathouse’s main room. After the couple’s tearful and emotional vows, guests were escorted to the patio for cocktail hour. I love The Boathouse wedding cocktail hour because guests can watch the gondolas pass by as they enjoy the golden hour before sunset. The main room was converted from the ceremony to the reception while guests enjoyed mingling and beverages. After introductions and parent dances, the couple’s siblings gave riveting speeches, which moved the happy couple with emotion. DJ Johnny Stuart played a mix of Indian and Western music and had the crowd on their feet all night long.
