Lauren and Ben, The Yale Club Wedding, New York City

August 9, 2014

Lauren and Ben met and became friends while in college at the University of Pennsylvania. After Ben graduated, they lost touch but reconnected ten years later, when they fortuitously bumped into each other at a movie theater in Manhattan. A year later, Ben proposed to Lauren on the roof of their apartment with both of their families present. The couple knew they wanted a classic New York Jewish wedding and they decided to be married at The Yale Club in Manhattan. Lauren wore an elegant, fitted A-line Pnina Tornai gown and Meg crystal headpiece and the groom wore Aksel Paris. Emma Cleary Photography’s Aaron and Tom were there to capture it all. The first look happened on The Yale Club roof, then the bridal party hit the New York City streets and Grand Central for some fun bridal party photos. The Jewish ceremony was held in The Yale Club by a rabbi under a beautiful chuppah and then they danced the hora with joy. We love to shoot weddings where family is so involved and important, as it was to Lauren and Ben. Even for their engagement shoot, they included their family in the photos, this is a testament to what spectacular people they are.
