Our very own photographer Massimo was the best man for this incredibly cool Brooklyn wedding. Since he was serving in the wedding party and could not take photos, that honor was given to Aaron and Asya. The day started with getting-ready photos at the couple’s parents’ homes in Queens. Since Denise and Daniel have a love for books, they avidly read up on weddings to prepare for the big day. They said their vows at St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church. Massimo dutifully stood by his best friend during the ceremony and did a wonderful job attending the rings.  Afterwards, a vintage tram escorted the guests and wedding party to Dumbo, where the bridal party photos were taken. Aaron and Asya captured the bride and groom in many locales around Dumbo including the Brooklyn Bridge, Jane’s Carousel, Pebble Beach and St. Ann’s Warehouse. I was pleased to see many amazing photographs but with such a creative group, I was not surprised. They continued to the reception venue, The Dumbo Loft, where everyone enjoyed a delicious feast prepared by DISH Food & Events. Denise and Daniel decorated tables with vintage books from The Strand Bookstore and used mini typewriters for escort cards. I loved every bit of detail that this couple put into planning their event. At the end of his speech, in the wedding tradition to ensure good fortune, Massimo rained down dollar bills onto the bride and groom. In all the photographs, Denise’s vintage style looked particularly special, from her Bonlook glasses to the lines of her Zac Posen wedding dress. This wedding was truly authentic, unique and memorable.
