We love shooting in the Metropolitan Building because we are sure to get beautiful shots every time. The vintage decor and artistic loft wedding setting make the perfect backdrop for photos. Having a gorgeous, stylish bride makes all the difference too, and Beckie’s style elevated the photos to another level. Most importantly, Beckie, Joe and their wedding party were authentic and lived in the moment, which resulted in the amazing photojournalistic wedding photos you see below. Beckie and Joe’s love for the borough of Queens made this wedding venue the perfect choice for them. We began the day getting ready in the Metropolitan Building’s bridal suite on the second floor and the first look was on the third floor in the small library room. Then we took bridal party photos in the main room, which is my favorite room in the building. The yellow curtain is perfect for portraits and the whole floor is filled with vintage furniture, which you can move around as you wish to create just the right background. Luckily, we had daylight throughout the photo session and were able to take advantage of the large windows and natural light. The ceremony was officiated by a friend of the couple and it was held on the second floor under a beautiful chandelier. The cocktail hour immediately followed in the adjacent room and the reception was also held on the second floor. I love the photographs that resulted from this stunning, artistic loft wedding.
