The day began with a beautiful Korean wedding ceremony, rich with tradition and symbolism. Debbie and Rishi donned bright and colorful hanboks, the traditional Korean costumes, which added a stunning visual element to the ceremony. One of the highlights was the traditional throwing of chestnuts and jujubes, symbolizing the wish for many children, and the exchange of wooden ducks, representing fidelity and peace in marriage. The ceremony was a vibrant and heartfelt start to their celebration.

Following the Korean ceremony, guests were treated to a feast of delicious Indian cuisine. The rich flavors and aromatic dishes were a nod to Rishi’s heritage, adding a wonderful culinary experience to the celebration. As a unique and personal touch, Debbie and Rishi chose medicine bottles as wedding favors, a clever tribute to how they met in medical school and a reflection of their shared commitment to healing others.

Maritime Parc, located in Jersey City, provided the perfect backdrop for this multicultural wedding. With its modern elegance, proximity to the marina, and breathtaking views of the Statue of Liberty and the New York City skyline, the venue offered a stunning setting for both the ceremony and reception. The lush greenery of Liberty State Park and the waterfront location added a serene and picturesque quality to the day’s events.

Throughout the day, I had the joy of capturing the emotional, joyful, and heartfelt moments that defined Debbie and Rishi’s wedding. From the colorful and lively Korean ceremony to the joyous celebration that followed, every moment was filled with love and happiness. The modern design elements of Maritime Parc, combined with the panoramic views of the Hudson River, provided a beautiful canvas for the wedding photography.
