Essex House Wedding Videography: Maria and Eric’s Elegant Central Park Wedding

Maria and Eric’s wedding was a beautiful New York City celebration that began at the iconic Essex House overlooking Central Park and continued with a traditional church ceremony followed by a lively reception back at the hotel. Their wedding day perfectly showcased why Essex House wedding videography is so special, combining classic New York elegance with the natural beauty of Central Park.

Our team captured both photography and video throughout the day, documenting everything from the quiet moments of getting ready to the energy of the reception later that evening. With its location directly across from Central Park and its timeless interiors, Essex House offers an incredible setting for cinematic wedding films.

Getting Ready at Essex House

The wedding day began with Maria getting ready at Essex House with her bridesmaids and family. The hotel’s refined interiors and beautiful natural light create an ideal setting for wedding video coverage, allowing us to capture the anticipation and excitement before the ceremony.

One of the most emotional moments of the afternoon was Maria’s first look with her father. These quiet moments before the ceremony often become some of the most powerful parts of a wedding film, capturing genuine emotion as the day begins to unfold.

At the same time, Eric and his groomsmen were preparing in another room at the hotel. These scenes often add a relaxed and joyful tone to the wedding video, with the groom putting on his jacket, sharing laughs with friends, and getting ready to head to the ceremony.

Ceremony at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle

Maria and Eric held their ceremony at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, a beautiful historic church located just minutes from Essex House. The ceremony was traditional and heartfelt, surrounded by family and friends who gathered to witness the couple exchange vows.

For wedding videography, churches like St. Paul the Apostle provide incredible visual and audio opportunities. Our team carefully set up multiple cameras and audio recording to capture the ceremony clearly, ensuring that the couple’s vows, readings, and music could all be incorporated into the final wedding film.

Following the ceremony, family portraits took place at the church while guests celebrated outside. These moments often provide wonderful candid footage of guests congratulating the couple and sharing in the excitement of the day.

Central Park Portraits on Film

After the ceremony, Maria and Eric traveled to Central Park for portraits with their bridal party. One of the biggest advantages of an Essex House wedding is its proximity to Central Park, which allows couples to incorporate some of the most iconic New York scenery into their wedding film.

The bridal party brought incredible energy to this part of the day, creating lively moments on camera. After capturing group shots, we focused on filming Maria and Eric together in the park, documenting quiet, romantic moments between the two of them.

Central Park provides a beautiful contrast to the elegance of Essex House, and it adds a distinctly New York atmosphere to wedding films captured at this venue.

Cocktail Hour and Reception at Essex House

Following the portrait session, the wedding party returned to Essex House where guests were enjoying cocktail hour. Our team filmed guests mingling, enjoying the food, and taking in the view before the reception began.

Before guests entered the ballroom, Maria and Eric had the opportunity to see the room during a private reveal. This moment often creates beautiful footage because it captures the couple experiencing the full atmosphere of their reception for the first time.

The evening celebration included a grand entrance, the couple’s first dance, parent dances, and heartfelt speeches from family and friends. As the night continued, the dance floor quickly filled with guests celebrating together.

A Beautiful Essex House Wedding Film

Maria and Eric’s celebration was a perfect example of how Essex House wedding videography can capture the elegance and energy of a New York City wedding. From the quiet moments of getting ready to the excitement of the reception, every part of the day reflected the couple’s joy and connection.

With its location overlooking Central Park and its timeless interior spaces, Essex House remains one of the most beautiful venues in New York City for wedding films. Maria and Eric’s wedding was a wonderful reminder of how special a Central Park wedding celebration can be, and we are always excited to return to Essex House to document more unforgettable weddings.
