Videographers: Asya and Michael

Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Chappaqua, New York, Crabtree’s Kittle House provided a charming setting for Jessica and Meghan’s wedding celebration. With its historic character, inviting atmosphere, and picturesque grounds, the venue was a wonderful choice for a day filled with love, family, and celebration.

Their lesbian wedding brought together approximately 160 guests for an evening of heartfelt moments, elegant portraits, and a lively reception. Our Emma Cleary Photo and Video team was delighted to document their celebration through both photography and cinematography, creating a wedding highlight film that tells the story of their special day.

Getting Ready: Two Brides, Two Beautiful Beginnings

The wedding day began with Jessica and Meghan preparing separately, each surrounded by their closest friends and family.

Jessica got ready at Crabtree’s Kittle House in Chappaqua, while Meghan spent the afternoon preparing at a private residence in Larchmont, New York.

With two photographers and two videographers covering the preparations, our team was able to document both sides of the story. From the finishing touches of hair and makeup to the excitement shared with their bridesmaids, these early moments provided an intimate beginning to the wedding film.

Having separate teams at each location also allowed us to capture the anticipation leading up to Jessica and Meghan seeing one another for the first time.

An Emotional First Look at Crabtree’s Kittle House

After getting ready, Jessica and Meghan came together for their first look at Crabtree’s Kittle House.

A first look is one of our favorite moments to capture because it gives couples an opportunity to see each other privately before the ceremony. It’s also a wonderful chance to create natural, romantic portraits without feeling rushed.

Following their first look, the couple spent time taking portraits around the venue. Crabtree’s Kittle House offers a beautiful combination of historic architecture and landscaped surroundings, making it an ideal location for timeless wedding photography.

Our approach to LGBTQ+ wedding photography focuses on capturing genuine interactions alongside elegant, carefully composed portraits. For Jessica and Meghan, this meant allowing their personalities and connection to guide the images while taking advantage of the venue’s charming setting.

Wedding Party and Family Portraits

Jessica and Meghan were joined by a wonderful wedding party of twelve attendants, including their closest friends and family members.

Following their couple portraits, we photographed both wedding parties before bringing their families together for formal portraits.

These photographs were especially important for documenting the people who had supported Jessica and Meghan throughout their lives. From individual portraits with their parents to larger family groupings, this portion of the day provided an opportunity to capture meaningful memories with loved ones.

We always encourage couples to allow enough time for family photographs before the ceremony when possible. This helps create a more relaxed schedule and allows everyone to enjoy cocktail hour afterward.

A Beautiful Wedding Ceremony in Chappaqua, NY

At 6:30 PM, Jessica and Meghan’s wedding ceremony began at Crabtree’s Kittle House.

Surrounded by approximately 160 guests, the couple celebrated their commitment in the company of their family and friends.

Wedding videography is particularly meaningful during the ceremony, when photographs alone cannot preserve every word, sound, and interaction. A wedding highlight film brings these moments together, allowing couples to revisit the atmosphere and emotions of their ceremony for years to come.

For LGBTQ+ weddings, just as with every celebration we photograph and film, our goal is to tell each couple’s story authentically, focusing on the moments and relationships that make their day unique.

Cocktail Hour and an Elegant Wedding Reception

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour before moving into the evening reception at Crabtree’s Kittle House.

With approximately 160 guests seated across 17 tables, the reception brought together the couple’s families and friends for an evening of celebration.

Our photography and video team continued documenting the festivities, focusing on candid interactions, the atmosphere of the reception, and the important moments throughout the evening.

From the energy of a full dance floor to the quieter exchanges between loved ones, these are the moments that help a wedding film feel personal and complete.

Our wedding videography style combines cinematic storytelling with a documentary approach, allowing the day to unfold naturally while preserving the details and emotions that couples will want to remember.
