Getting Ready at The Bride’s Home

The day began in Middle Village, where Melissa prepared for the big day surrounded by her loved ones. Hair by Stephanie from Pure Bridal Beauty and makeup by Nicole Roberto ensured she looked radiant as she stepped into her elegant Pronovias gown from Wedding Atelier. As the final touches were applied, Asya and Jess captured the excitement in the air, focusing on the small but meaningful details—Melissa’s bouquet, the couple’s rings, and the invitations designed by Caroline James NY.

A Heartfelt Ceremony at Our Lady of Hope Church

Melissa and Mike exchanged vows in the beautiful setting of Our Lady of Hope Church. The ceremony was a touching moment, filled with love, faith, and the presence of family and friends. Immediately after, rather than a traditional receiving line, the couple took part in family portraits outside in the church garden. Jess ensured these moments were captured with ease, while Asya made her way into the city to prepare for the next portrait session.

Capturing Iconic New York Moments

After a brief travel period, Melissa and Mike met Asya near the Wagner Hotel for breathtaking portraits featuring the Freedom Tower as a backdrop. The energy of the city, combined with the couple’s newlywed glow, created truly stunning images. From there, the celebration moved to The View at The Battery, where family portraits were taken outside the venue. Melissa’s mom and sister-in-law took charge of organizing the family for effortless group shots, ensuring no moment was missed.

Following family and bridal party photos, Melissa and Mike enjoyed a private portrait session in Battery Park. The golden hour light complemented the natural beauty of the location, highlighting the couple’s joy and excitement before they rejoined their guests for cocktail hour inside The View at The Battery.

As guests mingled and enjoyed the evening’s festivities, DJ Legit from Remixologists kept the energy high with a fantastic playlist. The reception space was adorned with elegant floral arrangements by Fleur Du Mois, and customized signage and stationery from Caroline James NY added a personal touch to the décor. Bridesmaids dazzled in BHLDN dresses by Anthropologie, while the groomsmen looked sharp in their tailored suits from Suit Supply.

A Perfectly Timed Celebration

With a well-planned schedule, every moment of the day unfolded seamlessly. As guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, the photographers captured table photos during the salad course. The evening concluded with joyful dancing, heartfelt speeches, and a beautiful cake-cutting ceremony—perfectly timed before Asya and Jess departed at 10:00 PM.
