Nikola and I photographed this lovely couple’s wedding day festivities, which began in their beautiful home in Chelsea. They are lucky to have a rooftop with amazing views of New York City, so we took advantage of that and shot a few photos before heading out to the cobblestone streets of Soho. The couple held their ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in the downstairs space at the Lafayette Grand Café. Nikola and I used an off-camera flash, which looked luminous in a space such as this.  The ceremony was officiated by a pastor, who has also been a dear friend of the couple for many years. The bride and groom exchanged touching vows that brought some of the guests to tears. The ceremony was followed by an open bar and passed hors d’oeuvres, which were as beautifully presented as they were delicious. Guests sat at exquisitely-decorated round tables and enjoyed family style dining, while taking in impromptu speeches and sharing their love with the couple. The bride and groom made their way around the room, sneaking in a few table photos and greeting guests. They were fabulous hosts and everyone had a wonderful time.
