Manhatta Wedding Videography: Kaitlyn and Eric’s Sunset Skyline Celebration

When couples search for Manhatta wedding videography, they’re usually drawn to one thing first, the view. Perched on the 60th floor at 28 Liberty Street, Manhatta offers sweeping, cinematic skyline vistas that feel almost unreal at sunset. Kaitlyn and Eric’s October 21st celebration showcased exactly why this venue is one of the most spectacular places in New York City to say “I do.”

Our team captured both their wedding photography and wedding videography, allowing us to tell their story seamlessly from morning preparations through the final dance.

Getting Ready at The Beekman and Manhatta

The day began at The Beekman Hotel, where Kaitlyn got ready in Penthouse East. The Beekman’s iconic atrium, with its dramatic ironwork and layered balconies, provided a striking architectural backdrop for both photo and video. We focused on refined finishing touches, her bouquet, rings, and invitations, and those quiet in-between moments that bring depth to a wedding film.

Meanwhile, Eric prepared at Manhatta. Having both sides of the morning documented is especially important for wedding videography. It allows us to intercut anticipation from two perspectives, creating emotional build-up before the first look.

First Look at The Beekman

Kaitlyn and Eric chose to do a first look in The Beekman’s atrium, one of the most visually stunning interior spaces in New York. For video, this setting gave us beautiful vertical depth, layered framing, and natural movement as they saw each other for the first time.

We then filmed romantic portraits in the penthouse suite and on the terrace, capturing the elegance of fall light and the city skyline beginning to glow.

Bridal Party Photos at The Beekman Rooftop

While the original plan included the Seaport, the bridal party portraits actually took place at The Beekman rooftop. This location offered privacy, architectural texture, and soft daylight that translated beautifully on film.

In wedding videography, strong environmental backdrops are everything. The rooftop allowed us to capture celebratory, dynamic group shots while keeping the energy effortless and elevated.

Sunset Ceremony with Manhatta’s Signature Skyline Views

The true magic of this Manhatta wedding videography experience came during the ceremony.

As guests arrived and the sun began to lower, our video team carefully set up audio and multiple cameras to ensure full coverage of the vows. We mic’d the officiant and groom, placed recorders for clean sound, and positioned angles to preserve both intimacy and scale.

The ceremony unfolded against Manhatta’s signature skyline views, with golden light streaming through the windows and illuminating the couple. Sunset ceremonies here are cinematic by nature, and Kaitlyn and Eric’s vows were framed by one of the most breathtaking backdrops in New York City.

For couples considering Manhatta wedding videography, timing the ceremony around golden hour is one of the most impactful decisions you can make.

Cocktail Hour and Golden Hour Portraits

Immediately following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while we stepped out for golden hour portraits. The skyline shifted from warm gold to deep blue, creating layered dimension in the footage.

We captured:

  • Romantic skyline silhouettes

  • Candid laughter

  • Architectural wide shots

  • Close-up emotional moments

These sequences are essential in a wedding film. They provide pacing, visual variety, and that unmistakable “New York” atmosphere.

Reception at Manhatta

As the reception began, the lighting design inside Manhatta transformed the space into a warm, glowing environment perfect for elegant wedding videography.

Kaitlyn and Eric wanted table photos, speeches, and plenty of dance floor energy documented. We made sure to capture:

  • Reception room details before guests entered

  • Toast reactions from multiple angles

  • First dances with clean audio

  • Guest candids and celebration moments

  • High-energy dance footage

With approximately 110 guests, the evening felt intimate yet vibrant. The balance of structured moments and spontaneous joy is what makes a strong wedding film feel alive.

Why Manhatta Wedding Videography Is So Special

Manhatta offers something few venues can, uninterrupted skyline views from the 60th floor, dramatic sunset light, and a refined interior that feels both modern and timeless.

For videography specifically, it provides:

  • Natural golden hour backlighting

  • Clean architectural lines

  • Elegant interior ambiance

  • Stunning night skyline footage

When combined with thoughtful planning, like leaving time for golden hour and allowing proper video setup before the ceremony, the result is a polished, cinematic wedding film.

A Seamless Photo and Video Experience

Because we captured both photography and videography for Kaitlyn and Eric, our team worked in sync throughout the day. We coordinate timelines carefully, capture a clock image to sync files precisely in post-production, and ensure that both mediums complement each other.

The result is a cohesive visual story that preserves not just how the day looked, but how it felt.
