Getting Ready at Hotel Du Village
Natasha got ready in the Colt Bridal Suite, a bright and welcoming space that is ideal for natural, clean wedding photography. Soft window light filled the room as she spent time with her family and bridal party, creating a calm and unhurried start to the day. These moments are always some of the most meaningful, quiet exchanges, handwritten notes, and emotions that set the tone for everything that follows.
Dan got ready nearby in the Stone Room with his groomsmen. The atmosphere was relaxed and candid, with moments that reflected the closeness of his family and friends. Photographing both preparations on site allowed the story of the day to feel cohesive and uninterrupted.

First Look and Bride and Groom Portraits
Natasha and Dan chose to do a first look, giving them time to connect privately before the ceremony. The grounds at Hotel Du Village offer a mix of greenery, architectural elements, and shaded areas that feel intimate while still being visually dynamic.
This is also where experience truly matters. We often hear from couples that they are concerned about how different skin tones will photograph together, especially during first look portraits and outdoor ceremonies. Our team has extensive experience photographing couples with different skin tones and understands how to light and expose images so that both people are represented accurately and beautifully. Through thoughtful lighting techniques and careful camera settings, we avoid harsh flash or uneven exposure that can cause one person to appear washed out or lost in shadow.
In post-production, our in-house color correction team fine-tunes each image to ensure skin tones remain natural, balanced, and true to life. The goal is never to over-edit, but to present each person exactly as they looked on that day, radiant, dimensional, and fully present in the frame.

Wedding Party and Family Photos
The wedding party photos were a mix of classic groupings and relaxed, documentary-style moments. With a larger group and many family combinations, a calm pace and clear flow made the process feel effortless rather than rushed.
Family portraits were especially meaningful. Thoughtful planning ensured that everyone felt comfortable and included, and careful composition and lighting kept the images balanced and natural. These photos feel timeless, with no one fading into the background or standing out unnaturally, just genuine connection and presence.

Outdoor Ceremony on the Great Lawn
The ceremony took place outdoors on the Great Lawn, one of Hotel Du Village’s most picturesque ceremony locations. Surrounded by greenery and early fall color, Natasha and Dan exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family.
Outdoor ceremonies can present lighting challenges, but this space offered soft, even light that photographed beautifully. The ceremony images feel emotional and grounded, capturing expressions, movement, and connection without distraction.

Cocktail Hour and Golden Hour Portraits
Cocktail hour allowed guests to mingle while we captured candid moments, details, and the overall atmosphere. Hotel Du Village truly shines during this part of the day, with a layout that encourages natural interaction and movement.
As the sun lowered, we stepped away briefly for golden hour portraits. The soft evening light added warmth and depth, creating images that feel romantic without being overly styled. These portraits are timeless and intimate, a quiet pause in the middle of a joyful celebration.

Reception in the Colt Ballroom
The reception in the Colt Ballroom was filled with heartfelt toasts, laughter, and a lively dance floor. Rather than formal table photos, the evening was documented through candid moments and natural interactions, allowing the energy of the celebration to shine through.
From the first dance to the final moments of the night, the focus remained on people, emotion, and connection, exactly how we believe wedding photography should feel.

A Wedding Documented with Care and Intention
Natasha and Dan’s fall wedding at Hotel Du Village is a beautiful example of how thoughtful planning, an elegant venue, and experienced photography come together seamlessly. The result is a gallery that feels honest, balanced, and timeless, one that reflects the day as it truly unfolded and represents everyone in it with care and accuracy.
